However, I was looking for a more of a round style teacake like the images I grew up with. These are more on the puffy style. These were simple to make and tasted great. A soft teacake that is best when one to two days old.

The ingredients needed to make TeaCake:

  2. Prepare 1 cup Sugar

It is flat and circular, with a smooth brown upper surface and a somewhat lighter underside. Beat butter and sugar in a bowl until creamy. Stir in flour, vanilla extract, baking powder, and baking soda until dough is well mixed. Fluffy, buttery, and shockingly tender, old fashioned tea cakes are more akin to a crossover between a biscuit and a cookie than they are to a cake.

Instructions to make TeaCake:
  1. First separate egg yolks and egg whites..then beat egg whites til it become fluffy and double..now beat sugar, egg yolks and Ghee stop when creamy form accur..now add egg whites in it slightly beat
  2. Now in this add dry ingredients maida baking powder spoon by spoon and stir it with spatualla..put few drops yellow colour and vanilla essence mix it..then last add milk mix it compeletly with spatualla..pour in greased pan at 120°C for 20 to 25 mins !!!
  3. Optional - When baked garish as our own as I do with crush almond and slightly apply orange jaam to give shine !!!
  4. Tips for best result : - 💞▶Maida/Flour  & eggs are kept at room temperature before use  !! - ▶At the end add warm milk in cake batter that's will give perfect look 💞👍
